Author of the Ark Saga

John Heldon, Jr.(1947-) was born and raised in Bergen County, NJ. He attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick. After a career in sales before founding his own business, he ‘retired’, to work and love twice as much as a writer. “Ark” is his first novel. It spawned a revised second edition which became Book IV of an intended nine book Saga containing three trilogies. These three books are the middle trilogy. The first and last won’t be published until all the puzzle pieces are in place.

John lives in Marlboro, NJ, with his wife, better half, and inspirational character, Ginni, along with their hyperactive Maltese, Lily, who keeps them young.

“Stargate Meets Salvation” introduces Book VI of the Ark Fantasy Saga, concluding the middle trilogy. Earth remains on the brink of disaster and salvation. The old Sunnyside College gym, known as the Ark, contains a paranormal portal that allows a select few to witness an imminent Doomsday, which can only be averted if they can persuade humanity to change its ways. Ben, Cal, and John overcome what they believed was a significant obstacle, only to find themselves facing an even greater challenge, making their previous efforts seem trivial. Their tasks become increasingly difficult, and the persistent Evil opposing them grows more determined. Mary, Phyllis, and Genna finally learn about their husbands’ mission and feel an inexplicable bond, forming a group of six from three. Their journeys into the abyss are filled with cryptic guidance from their ‘Mentors’ and discoveries of ‘holes’ in their reality above ground. The Ark’s strange behavior is visible to all, and the group hopes this will help them spread their message. However, it repeatedly fails to impact humanity. Their unwavering faith in the redemptive message keeps them going, despite near-fatal consequences. They uncover the Nemacole secret to an almost perfect life and strive to convey this to other good people, but it may be too late. The world isn’t listening, and an unseen, monstrous Evil force is pushing them towards defeat and Doomsday. Despite the despair, their ‘Mentors’ remain with them as long as they persist. The six are shown a final vision with two possible outcomes. The hopeful one requires a radical change in the world’s current state.
